We present new, never before shown works of the artist Alexander Ernst Voigt. They are reminiscent of his early works, but differ in many respects from their predecessors. Thus Voigt renounces the sealing of his paintings by lacquer. The monotypes on fabric that were created for the first time are fascinating. The openness and vulnerability of the surface enables a completely new perception of his paintings. Associations with “anti-urbanist, lost or rediscovered natural spaces” are awakened.
Alexander Ernst Voigt (born 1981 in Berlin) studied at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Prof. Jörg Immendorf, Prof. Herbert Brandl and finally as a master student of Prof. Eberhard Havekost. His works have been exhibited institutionally (selection: Kunstverein Krefeld, Kunsthalle Osnabrück) and are represented in numerous collections. He lives and works in Düsseldorf.
