As an artist Stefan Vogel uses most different media, techniques and formats. In his drawings, paintings, collages and installations minimalism meets expression, abstraction and concrete poetry as well as Readymade and conceptual strategies. In his his show “Brutstätten und andere Schwärmereien” Stefan Vogel investigates the myth of the “artist’s studio” as nucleus for artistic practice. Thought and work processes but also natural and uncontrolled growth as possible forms and complementary ways of producing are made subject of discussion, which objectively is reflected in his works.
Stefan Vogel, born in Fürth, Germany in 1981, studied at HFBK Hamburg from 2004 to 2012 and made his diploma with Anselm Reyle. In 2016 he was scholarship holder of Villa Romana, Florence.20.01.2017 - 02.03.2017
