John Zinsser

Der amerikanische Künstler John Zinsser (*1961 in New York, USA, lebt und arbeitet ebenda) spricht bei seiner Malerei von einem “weit offenen Dialog”. Zinssers Umgang mit der malerischen Abstraktion ist weder historisch noch ideologisch. Abstraktion, wie sie in diesem Werk verstanden wird, ist in erster Linie das Versprechen eines gemeinsamen Raums für den intellektuellen Austausch, der sich zwischen dem Bild, dem Maler und dem Betrachter entwickeln kann. Physisch vibrierend, löst das elektrische Leuchten ihrer Farbe beim Betrachter ein Bauchgefühl aus. Dieses Gemälde verleitet uns dazu, uns auf äußerst sinnliche Weise darauf einzulassen, wenn auch nicht bedingungslos oder unbewusst.
